A+symmetrical Necklace

Designing this hand-knotted asymmetrical necklace was a bit of a stretch for me since I tend to work with symmetrical designs, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Putting it together was part purposeful and part intuitive. I intentionally worked with a pink-to-green color gradient from rhodonite, hematoid quartz, pink opal, strawberry quartz, into the mid-tones of picture jasper, matte quartz, gray moonstone, coffee jasper, unakite, smoky quartz, pietersite, and then into green with African green jasper, moss agate, and prehnite. I chose a variety of textures for an organic look based on what just looked right to me. 

I think this would fit nicely with daintier chain(s) into the “neck-mess” trend of layered necklaces. I give an example of that style in a photo in the comments (chain not included). 

With a sliding macrame closure, it’s an easy to grab-and-go piece, but also speaks to the wearer’s authenticity and down-to-earth nature.

The length is approximately 25” and the weight about 48g.
