You Are My Sunshine Necklace

The sun motif was the starting point for this necklace. I originally created it in bright copper, but it was just a little too bright for my taste. Darkening and polishing the metal brought out the details and gave it more depth. A peach moonstone sits at the center of the pendant, finished with a sunstone drop below.

I love the warmth of these stones together. The soft peach tones of the moonstone play nicely with the copper, while the sunstone adds a little extra color, glow, and movement, which is my thing.

Finished with a ladder chain and my hand-forged clasp. The chain is solid copper rather than plated, which can be surprisingly hard to find.
